The uniqueness of the ARL lies in its close voluntary cooperation between researchers in spatial and planning sciences and practitioners in spatial planning and development. 

Through joint, inter-, and transdisciplinary collaboration in working groups and projects, we bring together knowledge from both academia and practice.
