The 2026 ARL Brussels Talk: Balancing Speed and Sustainability in the Energy Transition

The ARL and the Stuttgart Region are bringing experts together for a European dialogue.
On 14 April 2026, the ARL hosted the third 'Brussels Talk' in collaboration with the Stuttgart Region at the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the EU in Brussels. Around 30 participants from research, administration and policy came together at the event to discuss one of the key challenges of the energy transition: how can the accelerated expansion of renewable energy be reconciled with biodiversity protection and meaningful public participation?
