Call for Abstracts: Special Issue on Nature-Based Solutions and Private Landowners

The journal Environmental Hazards invites contributions for a special issue exploring the motivations and agency of private landowners in implementing nature-based solutions (NBS). Despite their potential for climate resilience, NBS often face barriers on privately owned land — from financial concerns to legal complexities. Yet, some landowners engage proactively, driven by stewardship, ecological values, or community ties.

This issue seeks to better understand these "philanthropic landowners" through case studies and conceptual contributions.
