The Future is Now! Shaping the Socio-Ecological Transformation – Contribution to the Poster Exhibition of the ARL Congress 2025
On 27 and 28 March, the international ARL Forum Gender and Spatial Transformation had the opportunity to contribute to the poster exhibition at the ARL Congress 2025 'The Future is Now! Shaping the Socio-Ecological Transformation' at the Leopoldina in Halle (Saale). The congress had a special focus on gender aspects and equity which was addressed by contributions on the potential of the Caring City for urban transformation (Nina Böcker, Sandra Huning), post-growth planning in rural areas (Jana Gebauer; Andrea Vetter) and an analysis of urban climate adaptation from a gender and environmental justice perspective (Juliane Frost).
In a poster exhibition, current ARL working groups and projects had the opportunity to present their activities on the topic of socio-ecological transformation - an opportunity that the International Forum Gender and Spatial Transformation gladly took up to emphasize the relevance of gender perspectives and intersectionality in the field of transformation research and spatial development as well as for the work of the ARL.
