Integrative planning and conflicts | Acceleration and/or participation?
Online Sessions at the ARL Congress 2024
The 2024 ARL Congress Major Infrastructure Projects - Planning: between protests and calls to pick up the pace included two hybrid English-language sessions.
Both sessions gave us interesting insights into the planning systems of other countries.
The session on Thursday focused on major transport infrastructure projects in different cities, from Madrid and Athens to Istanbul, Vancouver and Seattle.
The session on Friday gave an insight into planning processes: What factors shape them, what opportunities are there in the conflicting priorities of top-down and bottom-up planning and what role does diversity play in the organisations responsible for planning processes?
