PLACE-Workshop for early Career Researchers based in the UK or Germany

The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in collaboration with the Department of European Planning Cultures (TU Dortmund) are pleased to invite you to the Workshop "PLACE Reimagining Public Space Designing and Planning for COVID-19 - Implication on Health and Wellbeing", which will take place online on March 6-7 2023.

It aims to bring together Early Career Researchers based in the UK or Germany to exchange knowledge and experience around novel theories, strategies and methods in urban design and planning of public spaces for promoting health and wellbeing in cities particularly in the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Benefits of participation:

1. The workshop includes mentoring and networking opportunities. Participants are to be mentored by senior experts in the field of public health and planning: Prof. Dr. -Ing. Sabine Baumgart (ARL - Academy of Territorial Development in the Leibniz Association; arl-international.com), Prof. Dr. Gabriele Bolte (Uni Bremen), and Prof. Laura Vaughan (UCL).

2. There is an opportunity to win challenge prizes - £10K per project will be awarded - and generate relevant outputs.

3. Participants will be funded to attend one-day post-workshop event in UCL where, among others, future collaboration will be discussed.

The workshop is organised by Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in collaboration with the Department of European Planning Cultures (TU Dortmund), and supported by Research Links Challenge Grants UK-Germany Public Health Workshops grant from the British Council.
