Plenary Meeting (online)

On 24 October 2024, the ARL International Working Group “Resilient Metropolitan Regions – Spatial Planning and Management for Urban Transformation” convened for an online plenary meeting. The aim of the meeting was to further structure the group’s joint work after the kick-off, advance the position paper, and agree on the next steps in the working programme.

The group discussed the revised structure of the position paper and agreed with the members on the next steps for finalising the document and distributing responsibilities. Particularly, the group further elaborated the initial conceptual work on different understandings of resilience, which will form an analytical and normative basis for the position paper. The group also outlined the next steps on case studies and discussed organisational preparations for the upcoming plenary meeting in Milan in February 2025 and a potential proposal for a joint session at the AESOP 2025 Congress.
