Plenary Meeting (online)

On 26 May 2025, members of the ARL International Working Group “Resilient Metropolitan Regions – Spatial Planning and Management for Urban Transformation” met online for a follow-up plenary meeting. The aim was to review progress on the position paper, coordinate work on case studies and prepare for upcoming conference contributions.

The group advanced the position paper by refining the conceptual framework on resilience, the metropolitan scale and strategic spatial planning, and agreed on a revised structure and division of tasks to move towards a final draft. It further developed the case study approach, linking the analysis to key themes and aligning contributions with the planned AESOP 2025 special session. The group confirmed the timeline for completing the position paper and set key dates for upcoming meetings and conference outputs.
