Plenary meeting (online)

On 13 March 2026, the members of the ARL International Working Group "Resilient Metropolitan Regions – Spatial Planning and Management for Urban Transformation" met online for a plenary meeting. The main focus was to agree the final version of the position paper, discuss the next deliverables of the group and plan the agenda of the next plenary meeting in Vienna in November 2026.

The group finalised its position paper, which will now enter an external review process. Preparations for the upcoming plenary meeting in Vienna (12–13 November 2025) are underway. The group also outlined the next major deliverables: the ARL Working Report and a Special Issue proposal for a scientific journal, both of which will gather contributions from IWG members and external collaborators in the coming months.

Finally, the IWG welcomed Francesco Selmi (Bologna) as a new member following Alessandro Delpiano’s appointment as Secretary General of the Po River District Basin Authority. The next online plenary meeting is planned for early September 2026.
