University of Coimbra Hosts Intensive Programme on Migration, Displacement, and Health
The University of Coimbra will host a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled "Migration, Displacement, and Health" from June 23-27, 2025, in Coimbra, Portugal.
The course will cover significant health challenges migrants face, focusing on unmet health needs and determinants affecting their well-being. Participants will gain skills in qualitative research methods through theoretical workshops and practical exercises, including interviews and focus groups. Activities will be held at Coimbra's Polo I and Figueira da Foz campus, with transportation provided.
Programme Highlights:
- Monday: Welcome, university visit, theoretical seminar
- Tuesday: Practical seminar, group activities
- Wednesday: Fieldwork and data collection
- Thursday: Data analysis, course dinner
- Friday: Group presentations, farewell
