Online meeting - presentation of first results

The international working group met online on 16 February in order to present the first results of the work within the three internally-agreed constellations. Each of the subgroups approaches the small towns and metropolitan cores from different perspectives.

The presentations aimed to update the other subgroups on the status quo of the ongoing research, which also strongly enhanced feedback discussions during the meeting. These presentations built upon the previously conducted literature review and internal exchange, and eventually led towards developing specific ideas for cohesive research within the whole working group. Hence, this session resulted in the identification of apparent interconnections between different subgroups, which should be a beneficial asset for the upcoming working steps.

The following group meeting will take place in presence in Tours, France, at the beginning of April 2022. It will enable the group to discuss how the collaboration can further expand and which themes should be addressed more explicitly. Moreover, there will be an opportunity to clarify further organisational details.
